About the Role: The successful candidate will possess broad expertise across all areas of taxation, with a particular focus on corporate tax, while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of personal tax, inheritance tax, trusts, and international tax issues. The role encompasses managing complex advisory projects, providing strategic tax planning, and delivering tailored solutions for a diverse client portfolio. You will collaborate directly with the firm's Tax Partner, gaining invaluable insights and mentorship. The position is office-based, emphasising close teamwork and direct engagement with colleagues and clients. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a variety of sophisticated tax advisory projects, including corporate restructuring, property transactions, international tax planning, and employee incentivisation schemes.
Prepare detailed advice letters, reports, and technical responses, taking ownership from inception through to delivery.
Liaise with clients to understand their needs, manage expectations, and deliver exceptional service.
Support the tax analysis of corporate transactions alongside the corporate finance team.
Oversee the preparation of transaction documentation and respond to HMRC enquiries.
Share expertise by training and mentoring junior team members.
Contribute to the development and growth of the tax department through strategic initiatives and team management, including conducting interviews and performance reviews.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in accounting, with a strong technical background in all tax disciplines.
A relevant professional qualification such as CTA is preferred, but candidates with equivalent experience and knowledge will also be considered.
Experience gained within a top-tier or large regional practice is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role involves frequent interaction with clients and colleagues, requiring clear and concise technical reporting
A client focused approach and a commitment to delivering outstanding service are vital.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with a proactive attitude and strong organisational skills, will ensure success in this role.
